Kyle Hranicky is the CEO of Commercial Banking at Wells Fargo, where he oversees teams dedicated to providing financial products and services to private and public companies, including lending and leasing, investment banking, currency and interest rate hedging, and treasury management solutions. Kyle serves on the Wells Fargo Operating Committee.

Commercial Banking provides local coverage and specialized industry expertise to companies in a wide variety of industries and subsectors and across multiple geographic locations, as well as government, institutional, and not-for-profit clients, with a portfolio of more than $350 billion in loans. Commercial Banking’s relationship-focused coverage businesses provide services to companies with annual sales generally between $25 million and $2 billion, while its specialized lending businesses deliver products to companies of all sizes. In addition to traditional lending products, Commercial Banking is a market leader in asset-based lending, equipment finance and leasing, global receivables and trade finance, floor plan finance, renewable energy, and environmental finance, and provides strategic capital investments.

Kyle began his current role in September 2021. Prior to that, he was head of Middle Market Banking, where he led the integration of three businesses to better serve the financial needs of commercial clients. Kyle also previously served as the head of Wells Fargo’s Corporate Banking group, where he led the transformation to relationship businesses aligned to specific industries and clients.

Additional leadership positions Kyle has held since joining Wells Fargo in 1995 include head of the Wells Fargo Energy Group, regional manager of the Loan Syndication group, relationship manager, and loan team manager. Before Wells Fargo, he worked for the Southland Corporation.

Kyle earned his B.A. in business administration from The University of Texas at Austin, and his M.B.A. with honors, from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona.

Kyle lives in Houston with his wife. They have three children, one recent college graduate and two who are currently attending college. Kyle serves on the advisory council for the McCombs Business School at the University of Texas and is a member of their hall of fame. In addition, he is the executive sponsor of Wells Fargo’s Native People’s employee resource network.
