PortMiami is the world's largest cruise port, and currently we're the tenth-largest container port in the United States. Located right in the heart of downtown Miami, the port is split down the middle with nine cruise berths on the north side and the cargo handling operations on the south.

By 2030, we expect that the majority of the port will have become decarbonized. 

When the cruise ships are at berth, they're running their diesel generators and creating emissions. We are implementing shore power so that the vessels can turn off their generators and hook into the grid. It's exactly like hooking up an EV vehicle, except the plug is hundreds of times larger.

On our cargo side, we currently have 13 ship-to-shore cranes. They can lift a 80,000-pound box. They can do 30-plus boxes an hour. They stand 180 feet tall. 

We are in the process of electrifying all of the equipment on port that takes the containers and moves them from the ship to the stack and then onto truck or rail.

Every time that we do an infrastructure project, we are addressing sea level rise by increasing the height of the port.
